 The Owner’s story
Current Owner: Ken Morrow (1979-present):
N2430D was Ken’s second plane love-affair and second total rebuild. His first being an Aeronca Champ, which he purchased in the early 60s and rebuilt together with his best friend from high school.
In 1968 he sold his portion of the Champ to his friend.
In 1979, Ken purchased N2430D as a salvaged wreck and spent the next 8 years painstakingly rebuilding and upgrading her.
In 1987 he flew his beautifully restored N2340D for the very first time, taxiing her from behind his house, down the road to the neighbor’s alfalfa field for take off.
1976-1977:
 1977 –  Wrecked in a grass field in Port Townsend, WA, by its owner.
1970-1976:
 Owned by a pilot in Bellingham, WA who enjoyed local flying, flying to the Washington coast, and to the San Juan Islands.
Made several trips to Utah and a trip to Arizona. Painted white with black & turquoise stripe.
